As always, The Perpetual Page-Turner is hosting her annual End of the Year Survey and I just had to complete it. It's a nice look back at what you've read and accomplished over the year.

I didn't push books on anyone this year, most people I know in real life don't read much and most online have their own genres they enjoy.

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (read all four books in the series and am now working on Call Down The Hawk for the Dreamer series spinoff)

The Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire (read two books from the series and will continue in 2020)

by Hannah Capin (this is the book I read the fastest this year, it was quite the page turner)

I don't remember anything standing out in that way this year, which is disappointing since I do love a good plot twist, death scene or shocking moment.

Two Nights
by Kathy Reichs - this is a new series and I just loved it! I have always adored her foresnic books in the Temperance Brennan series, but this is a new fave and I hope to see more! 


21. Best Book You Read In 2019 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure/Bookstagram, Etc.:
I read quite a few books that Kayla from BooksandLala loved and the best for 2019 was Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. AND The Raven Cycle because seriously, where have I been?

- because it's the one readathon that I actually did well at last year and I tried quite a few.

Nothing is standing out. I met my reading goal of 52 books in 2019, but beyond that I didn't go to any bookish events or increase my followers by much.

Work/Life balance!

by Leigh Bardugo - gonna give this one a try finally (not a 2020 release, but I just need to read this)

I'm interested in reading the rest of the Wayward Children series and I believe there is a new book out in 2020. I just need to catch up before I can get to the newest release.
