My name is Chrystal and I am a bookaholic, a wannabe photographer, a sister, a friend, a daughter, an aunt, a notorious list maker, a DIY gal, a jeopardy fanatic, a kitty mommy, a proud Canadian, a crafter, and a dreamer.

This blog was originally about books, reading and my thoughts about those books, but as life changes so has this blog. I'll be trying my hand at posting about the things in my life as well as my original bookish posts. 

Hopefully this will showcase more about me and my other loves as well. It will be about home renos, gardening, cooking and hopefully one day parenting. For now I'll start with baby steps to switch over from being all about books.

About those bookish things...

I will read anything that is put in front of me. My favourite genres are Young Adult, New Adult, paranormal/urban fantasy, chick lit/romance, dystopian/post-apocalyptic and mystery.

My love of reading would come from my mother. When I was young I really disliked reading and it was my Mom who actually helped me get into reading and excel with school. Every weekend she would take us to the library where we would pick out three books each. Eventually, as I got older, I would go there by myself and spend hours reading there and looking for just the right book to bring home. I don't think I've been seen without a book since. Thanks Mom and I miss you terribly.
