It’s a steamy reunion between a single mum and the billionaire who got away!

Former ski champion Conor Kavanagh enjoys a challenge. And he’s encountered no challenge more arousing than Ellie Porter. Once, she broke his heart. Now that she’s back in town? He can’t seem to stay away…

But Ellie has changed. Widowed, with a baby, she has responsibilities — and secrets — weighing her down. Still, his desire for her is undeniable. Surely, he can have her without giving up his heart — or his daredevil ways? He’s willing to risk it all to find out…

Summer Vacation

Does your family take a vacation every summer? Are you beach people, or do you enjoy staycations? Visiting relatives? Theme parks?

Over the years, our family has tried all of those and more.

But confession time: I may be a bit of an overpacker! When it comes to summer travel—or any trip for that matter—I like to cover a wide range of contingencies. I’ve even been known to use a laminated packing list. (I know…I need therapy. Ha!)

It would help if I had minions…not the yellow kind, but ones who do the heavy lifting. The rich and famous have minions. Hairstylists, social secretaries, accountants, nutritionists, trainers. The list goes on. If I had a support team like that, I’d travel with ease.

Silver Glen, North Carolina, the fictional home of my seven sexy Kavanagh brothers, is a beautiful, upscale town where movie stars, entertainers and other high-profile figures come to power down and relax away from the paparazzi. I’ve had fun creating the community from scratch. I know and love the mountains of North Carolina, so it wasn’t a stretch for me to invent a very special hometown for my Kavanagh guys.

When I head out on the road, though, I love to explore places I’ve never been before. When our girls were ten and fourteen, we spent six weeks in Wyoming. We traveled on a strict budget—not camping, but staying in a lot of mom-and-pop motels that looked like something out of a movie set.

It was an adventure, to say the least. We still talk about those days as a high-water mark for our family. All our stuff was packed into a van with a fiberglass “snail” carrier on top. We had coats for when it snowed in Jackson Hole in the Fourth of July. We had shorts for the sunny days when hikes were hot. We had rain gear…medical supplies…cameras and, yes, even film. We call those the good old days…but it would have been nice to have had an iPhone!

It’s a treat for me to write books about places I love, whether they’re fictional settings or real spots on the map. When I was younger, I devoured Harlequin Romances, especially the ones set in England, Australia and New Zealand. I learned a lot of geography from those wonderful books!

I hope you’ll take Conor Kavanagh home with you in August. Second Chance with the Billionaire is a heartfelt, sexy story about resurrecting an old love. Thanks for supporting romance and extra thanks for reading my books. I truly appreciate each one of you!
~Janice Maynard

I'm an overpacker too! Always afraid I'll forget something I'll need. And I'd love some minions too! Thanks for stopping by Snowdrop Dreams to let my readers know about your latest release.

  1. Growing up my family went on summer vacations every year. We'd load up our van and drive to our destinations. We've been all over the U.S.: Montana, Florida, Louisiana, Florida, South Dakota, Missouri, Tennessee, New York, Canada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, and others. We've gone to Mount Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Silver Dollar City, Six Flags, Universal Studios, Sea World. I miss going on trips but not the riding in a van. Thanks for having the giveaway.

    1. Thanks for entering Rose! Sounds like you've traveled a lot in the summer. I can't blame you for not wanting to be stuck in the van so much, but I bet you have such wonderful memories of your travels! Hope you liked Canada when you visited.
