Armchair BEA 2013: Introduction

Design credit: Nina of Nina Reads.
This is an introductory post so that we can all get to know one another better. Here are the five questions that I decided to answer.

1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?

My name is Chrystal. I've been a book blogger since 2010. The reason I started my blog was because after searching for a book online I stumbled upon a really great review of the book and realized that it was a blog all about book reviews. I realized that since I had already been reviewing for a site somewhere else, I had the knowledge of writing reviews and knew that I could start a blog for my thoughts on books too.

2. What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2013?

I am currently reading The Wishing Year by Noelle Oxenhandler. And my favourite book so far that I've read in 2013 has to be: for YA it's The Raft by S.A. Bodeen and for adult it's Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson. Both are amazing reads.

3. Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.

I didn't realize how much I would love living in the country until my husband decided that renting his sister's house would be a great start to getting out of our tiny apartment. Now, I cannot imagine living in the city ever again. Big house, big yard, beautiful gardens, hearing the birds chirping outside my window, peace and quiet and of course room to start a family someday.

4. If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?

I think it would be interesting to have dinner with Betsy Taylor (from the Undead Series by MaryJanice Davidson). I think that she would be hilarious to meet since she doesn't filter her thoughts, she is a vampire queen and she loves fashion. It would be an all around interesting meal.

5. What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?

I'm going to go with Paris for this one. Mostly because I recently read Anna and the French Kiss and I loved visiting Paris when I was younger. I'd love to go there again one day now that I am older and could appreciate all of the history there.

Well, I hope you enjoyed getting to know my a little better. I'll be hopping around checking out everyone's posts this week. Cheers!
