  10. How to Say Goodbye in Robot by Natalie Standiford. It's one of those bittersweet, poignant, but also heartwarming and cushy reads. I have so many contemp recs, but I'll rec one more book, one I read recently -- Good Oil by Laura Buzo. It's being published in the States as Love and Other Perishable Items, and it evoked similar feelings as Robot -- bittersweet feelings to the extreme. I kind of like endings where it's not a happily ever after, where an open-ended ending is the realistic way to end. But that it's not the end. I don't know, I just love them and they make for much better discussion.

  31. Well The Goddess Test is a good light hearted one.

But my favourite right now is less light hearted. It doesn't really fit your criteria but I'll mention it anyway :) Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. The romance itself is really genuine and happy. It's the other elements of the book (personal issues, troubled pasts) that give it darker undertones. The entire book is amazing and the romance will give you butterflies and all that jazz!
