This short story was just what I needed. I've been craving the next installment of the Goddess Test series, yet haven't picked up the next in the series just yet.
It picks up right where The Goddess Test leaves off and you find Kate on her first adventure away from the Underworld and it is quite the adventure indeed. Kate and her best friend, James, are venturing through Greece when they stumble upon the Gemini Twins - Castor and Pollux. Kate still has a lot to learn about all of the gods and minor gods and this is her first step into this new world.
The Goddess Hunt is a quick read and the lovely part of this short story was that it gives us another glimpse into who Kate really is as a person. The challenge of helping Castor and Pollux with their problem shows that Kate is stronger than she looks. She stands up to Zeus and a few other council members in order to do what she feels is right. Luck may have been on her side this time, but can she keep her wits about her, deal fairly with the council and rule the Underworld along Henry's side? That's what we hope to find out in Goddess Interrupted.

Thanks for the heads up about this and for sharing your thoughts! I really do need a quick read and want to get caught back up in this series. I loved the first book but just haven't had a chance to pick the series up again. I think, from what you said about it being more telling about who Kate is, makes it a definite must for me and the perfect way to get back into this series.
