Welcome back to Bonfire Academy.

I was pretty happy to be returning to the Bonfire Academy to find out what was happening with some of the most interesting paranormal students I've read about. Upon starting Integration I found myself drawn back into the story of Faustine and Cordelia - the demons I so loved in Initiation. So many crazy things happened to them in the first Bonfire Academy book, that I thought this one couldn't top it, but I was wrong with that assumption. Faustine and Cordelia both end up fighting some of the same evil as they had in the previous school year, only this time things are somewhat predictable.

Many of the same characters are back or make appearances, but there are also a few new characters introduced. I cannot wait to learn more about, like Colton, a shifter whom the demons seem to actually get along with. The only character related thing that bothered me about this book was that something happens to this one character and they are almost completely ignored for much of the story until closer to the end. Though I am sure in the next book in the series things will be explained since there was a bit of a cliffhanger ending on this book. Hopefully it will all be explained a little better.

Part of this story was a bit of build up for the next book, but I felt like this current installment was missing something. I felt like part of the book was the same scenarios playing out again that happened in the previous one. The one thing that you do learn a lot about is how the classes/training work and more about the different powerful monarchies around the paranormal world. Faustine does grow very much as a character, but it is really Cordelia that seems to have the biggest changes to her life. It will be interesting to see where the story leads after the crazy cliffhanger that Imogen Rose has left us with.
