Top Ten Favorite Blogs/Sites That Aren’t Book Blogs

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish each week.

Top Ten Favorite Blogs/Sites That Aren’t Book Blogs

My top the this week are from all over the place and in no particular order.

Young House Love - following Sherri and John through their home renovations and child rearing is really fun - they live and breathe this blog and it is their sole source of income - they post about all of the fun decorating, renovating, deals they find, and places they've been. And they are coming out with a book soon on DIY stuff!

The Happiness Project - I loved this book so much and then I realized there is a site dedicated to finding your happiness with daily posts and I also get a daily happiness quote in my work inbox to remind me to stay happy.

Making It Lovely - another lovely blog about interior design and crafty DIY stuff

Gail Vaz-Oxlade: Debt Free Forever - this blog/site is about personal finance and how to get out of debt by tracking your finances and making drastic changes in your habits (I LOVE HER SHOW and BOOKS, but still need to commit to this new program with the Money Jars)

Bower Power -  Another fun DIY blog about home renos, crafts, photography and being a mom

Etsy -  an amazing site to find all things crafty - whether it's supplies, ready made items, patterns, etc - I always find something amazing that catches my eye either to purchase or as inspiration

DIY Wedding - well this makes sense since I am in the middle of planning my own wedding, but I also love looking on here for cute ideas for parties and decorating (there is always something fun to inspire me)

Kitchen Ingredient Dictionary via Food.com -  my BFF Aislynn sent me to this site when I was having problems meal planning on a budget - it's a great site to help you use up ingredients that you have in your home already or for last minute meals when you don't have time for a trip to the store

Well those are the only real non-book blogging type blogs/sites that I visit regularly. Cheers!

  1. Cool! I'm going to sign-up for the daily quote from The Happiness Project. I could use a little good news in my inbox every now and then; especially at work! Great idea.

    1. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I always have something to start my day off on a positive note regardless of how my day turns out. :) Enjoy!
