A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.
First things first, check out the amazing cover. Isn't it freaking beautiful? That is was actually drew me to the book in the first place, just how stunning it was.

Ada Adams did not write your typical vampire book – no glittering vampires, no hiding from the sun, no hiding from humans, and no garlic repels vamps (actually garlic makes them able to walk in the sunlight – they actually EAT it). ReVamped is a book filled with humour, romance and adventure.

Filled with quirky characters, like Brooke the vampire cheerleader, Sophie the vampire librarian, and Seth the vampire gamer/geek, there is no doubt that the banter between them is filled with pop culture references and snarky comments. The unusual band of misfit vampires that Dawn is put in charge of reforming quickly tries her patience time and again, yet she is filled with determination. Can Dawn get this new team to work together and hold their own when the missions start rolling in?

Dawn is a BORN vampire versus the rest of the team who were MADE. Dawn's outstanding training and combat skills are what makes her standout as a kick ass heroine. She is a vampire of high standing in the community due to her family's position in the world, Daddy is the vampire President of the USA, but she takes her job seriously and wants to turn her crew into the best crew out there. Dawn's commitment to her team, to her feelings of duty, to her morals – these qualities make me love her character that much more.

The other amazing aspect of this story is the love triangle between Dawn, Sebastian and Ethan. Sebastian is the dark, brooding, mysterious neighbour – he's smoking hot and completely the guy I am rooting for. And Ethan is the traditional guy next door with the heart of gold, though he has a few secrets.

All in all Ms. Adam's story, ReVamped, is quite unique, the characters are completely likable and fun to read about and I am very excited that this is a going to be a series.
