For nine years, they drift through life, unable to forget the one who holds the strings to their hearts. In an attempt to escape the pain of her past, Melanie finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage, while Daniel loses himself in a career that means nothing without Melanie by his side.
Now, when their lives intersect, neither can deny the connection they felt so long ago.
But will the power that drew them together be enough to heal the wounds from their past, and do they have the courage to overcome the insecurities and fears that threaten to keep them apart?
Pulled is a story of attraction and separation, of destiny and duty, of a love so strong it refuses to give up even when all others have.
What an emotional roller coaster of a book. I honestly haven't spent so much time crying and smiling while reading in a long time. I loved it!  I love when a book can make you actually feel the emotions, not just register them in your mind, but ACTUALLY feel them too. I cried often when the scenes were heart wrenching, my heart swelled with pride and love during the most cherished moments the characters spend together and I felt hatred towards one character - I truly wanted him to just go away so that the two could be together again.

Honestly, I felt like this book was someones life story - not a fictional one, but a real story. It sounded like it could truly have happened to someone. From being young and in love, to being torn apart by terrible circumstances, finding each other again and having to deal with the lives they each chose to lead.

I'm not sure I believe in soulmates, but after reading this book I can see why people think it exsists. Perhaps there really is a person out there meant for each of us, maybe not everyone gets the chance to find them in this lifetime. Though I do believe that things happen for a reason and while reading this book I smiled to myself when fate was bringing Daniel and Melanie together again.

There are quite a few topics within this one story that each on their own could make for an amazing tale, but this combination makes the story that much more emotional and makes you want to read faster to see how it all ends. I could have easily read this book in a day if it were not for having to work - it was that amazing. I would say this book is more about forgiveness than romance.

About the author:
A.L. Jackson first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student.  She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.
Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends and, with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel, Pulled
A.L. resides in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three beautiful children. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.

AL Jackson also has a re-release of Take This Regret happening. I do happen to have a review copy to read soon, so keep an eye out for my review.

  3. Wow! Amazing review. I love discovering new books. I will definitely pick up a copy. The cover is so beautiful. I have been known to bawl like a baby during sad scenes in books...I suppose I should get a box of Kleenex ready? :)

I'm working on a GP for you right now. Do you have anything specific you'd be interested in knowing more about in regard to the story, the characters, my writing, etc.? I was going to do a short scene from "ReVamped" from one of the guys' points of view perhaps, but I'm very open to accommodating any requests.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Ada - I think if you will need Kleenex ready with this one. It was fantastic and so emotional. Loved it. I hope you enjoy Pulled. :)

As for the GP - I didn't have anything in particular in mind, so I'm pretty open to the scene from the guys POV.

I'm going to contact you by email about another thing that I host on my blog that you might be interested in doing as well... seperate from the blog tour. :)
