The man of her dreams might be the cause of her nightmares. Six months ago, Abby Sinclair was struggling to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Now, she has an enchanted iPod, a miniature unicorn living in her underwear drawer, and a magical marketplace to manage. But despite her growing knowledge of the OtherWorld, Abby isn’t at all prepared for Brystion, the dark, mysterious, and sexy-as- sin incubus searching for his sister, convinced Abby has the key to the succubus’s whereabouts. Abby has enough problems without having this seductive shape-shifter literally invade her dreams to get information. But when her Faery boss and some of her friends vanish, as well, Abby and Brystion must form an uneasy alliance. As she is sucked deeper and deeper into this perilous world of faeries, angels, and daemons, Abby realizes her life is in as much danger as her heart—and there’s no one she can trust to save her.
I actually enjoyed this story as it was unique. I loved all of the different characters and creatures that we learn about in this book from the incubus, succubus, mini unicorns, faeries and angels. I especially loved the sarcastic mini unicorn. - he was a great comic relief. Abby was also quite sassy and quirky which added more comic relief here and there.

Overall I would have to say this novel was a mixture of adventure and romance. From kidnappings and mismatched alliances to dream sequences and possibly true love, so many situations happen to Abby and her gang. For a bit, I thought I had things figured out, but a few surprises kept me guessing who-done-it.

I think my favourite parts of the book were learning about how the Dreaming worked, all about Touchstones and the Midnight Marketplace. I think that everything that happens in the book combine to create a very interesting story that you won't want to miss out on.

Abby grows quite a lot throughout the book, she goes from a young woman who is just barely functioning in life after a traumatic event and becomes a woman who learns she has a voice and is much stronger than she ever believed.

And Brystion helps keep the romance and lust alive in this story - his romps with Abby are quite fantastical as some happen in the Dreaming. He's a pretty smoking daemon, who just might want to be more then he is for the one he loves.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series: A Sliver of Shadow. (My review will be up tomorrow for book two).
