On The Rim of Love - Guest Post by author Marie Astor and more!

Today is the second stop on the blog tour for Marie Astor's new release, On The Rim of Love. I would love to thank Marie for stopping by today with an amazing Romance Week themed post and an absolutely spectacular giveaway! Check out all the details below.

Do you believe in happily ever after for your characters?

My answer is absolutely!
I believe that all of us - whether we admit it or not, enjoy a happy ending in a book. In real life things do not always turn out the way we want them to, but in fiction we get to enjoy the endings that we hope for and draw strength from inspirational storylines to strive for a Happily Ever After in our real lives.
I write contemporary romances because as a reader I love love stories. All of my favorite books, whether genre or literary fiction, have an element of a love story in them. Let’s face it, human relationships play a very big role in fiction, but when it comes to romance fiction, the approach is unique. Contemporary romance occupies a distinct genre from which the reader expects to receive a particular kind of entertainment – a contemporary romance work of fiction is typically a light, uplifting read with a happy or at least a hopeful ending, which I believe is the reason for the genre’s popularity.
In my contemporary romance, On the Rim of Love, the heroine, Maggie has just gotten engaged to a seemingly perfect man: her fiancé, Jeffrey is an attractive and successful TV producer with a bright future ahead of him. But when during a ski trip to British Columbia Maggie meets Taylor, a handsome off-piste skier, she is torn between the two men. I have to stop here without giving away too much of the plot, but I will just say that in the end Maggie finds the courage to follow her heart.

I hope that Maggie’s search for her true love in On the Rim of Love will inspire readers to search for their own Happy Ending, and for those who have already found their Happily Ever After, remind them to cherish it that much more.

  4. I like when the H&H finally realize that they love each other. All the fighting with each other was their attempt to dismiss their feelings. This book sounds like a great book I would love to read.

Do we need to fill out the Raff.. for each blog or just the first time?? Thanks.
