Guest Post with Amy Lichtenhan

If you've been following my blog for a while, you might remember my review for Pulled by Amy Lictenhan. If you haven't read it, you totally should - it's a wonderful example of ever lasting love which is the topic that Amy is guest posting about today. Thanks Amy for being here today!

Thank you so much Chrystal for inviting me to be a part of Romance Week on Snowdrop Dreams of Books. As a romance author who can’t help but write stories about soul mates, I jumped at the chance to share with you all.

How many of you believe in soul mates? You know the kind… the one that causes you to stop dead in your tracks because you’ve just seen the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. One touch and he has your heart racing and your skin tingling. One kiss and… well… you know.

Do you believe in that kind of attraction and its power to last forever?

How many of you raised your hands, jumped up and down, and said, “Yes!!”

Okay, I’ll be honest—I absolutely love to write stories about this kind of attraction. To me, there is nothing more romantic than love at first sight. And I kind of like to think that a part of me really believes in it, too.

But on this Valentine’s Day, I wanted to talk to you about a different kind of soul mate.

This is about the man you fell in love with. Maybe not with a first glance or passing touch, but he somehow worked his way into your heart.

He’s the one who stands beside you through thick and thin.

He’s the one who is patient and understands.

He’s the one who works hard to support his family.

He’s the one who comes home every night because he’s loyal, even when times get rough.

This is the man that even after ten or twenty years have passed, you still can’t imagine not waking up to him in the morning.

He’s your comfort and your strength.

This is the kind of love that I believe lasts forever.

So whether you’ve called him yours for many years, or maybe the two of you are just beginning to make your plans to spend the rest of your lives together—or perhaps you’re just about to meet him—here’s to wishing you all a very love-filled Romance Week!
What wonderful things to think of a spouse/significant other. All of those qualities are exactly what everyone deserves to have in their lives. I know I've found my forever love and he is all of the things mentioned above. :)

Do you believe in soul mates or love at first sight? Or have you found that one person who found their way into your heart?

About the author:
Amy Lichtenhan first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student. She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.

Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends, and with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel, Pulled.

Amy resides in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three beautiful children, where she enjoys the freedom of working from home. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.
