Weekly Feature here at Snowdrop Dreams of Books where authors and bloggers share what five books and what five other items they would want with them if they were ever stuck on a deserted island and why they chose them. Some posts are serious, some are extremely silly and some are mixture. Check back every week to see what your fave authors and bloggers would pick.
Today a fellow Canadian blogger has stopped by, ERIKA! She has two blogs around the blogosphere (Suddenly Books & One A Day Y.A. ) and she has some great book choices for the Deserted Island feature!
***
Five books I'd want to have with me:
1) Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
2) Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere (Graphic Novel) by Mike Carey
3) Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
4) Divergent by Veronica Roth
5) The Host by Stephanie Meyer
I can never get sick of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere so it would be a good one to have around. I thought it would be nice to also have the graphic novel version to have something more visual. Jane Eyre, Divergent, and The Host are all favourites from the past few years.
Five items I'd want to have with me:
1) A rainjacket.
2) A picture of my family.
3) A machete or hatchet of some sort.
4) A set of matches.
5) A shovel.
You can find Erika around the web in the following places:

I haven't read any of Erika's five picks. LOL I keep meaning to read The Host.
ReplyDeleteI'm hollering at you today on my weekly feature! :)
Thanks for the holler! It was a very nice surprise to see all those tweets pop up on my cell phone. I had no idea until lunch time. LOL
DeleteThanks for having me Chrystal! I have to admit after seeing all the items everyone else would want with them, I wish I had been more creative. Oh well, my rain jacket will keep me dry, the matches will keep me warm, a machete will get me food and a shovel will do just about anything. Top that off with some happiness (my family) and I'm all set!
ReplyDeleteYou were very practical. I think they were great picks actually. ;) And some very great book choices too! Thanks for participating.
DeleteWow... (basically) 2 of the same book! I've never read Neverwhere... It must be one heckuva book!
