I signed up for the rereadathon a few weeks ago and I had planned to read a few books from my childhood and teen years. So far not so good. I haven't started any of them yet, but I believe I can finish all three this weekend.
Friday's Question: What books are you planning on rereading? Why did you pick those?
-Kristy's Big Day by Ann M. Martin (Babysitter's Club #6)
-Wish Upon A Unicorn by Vicki Blum
-Charlotte's Web by E.B. White
I chose these three books because I decided that a rereadathon needed to be nostalgic for me and was is more nostalgic than books you read as a child. :)
Saturday's Question: How are your general feelings towards rereading? Are you finding yourself remembering things about these books than you thought you would? Are you feeling like you are moving quickly through the books because you've already read them. Are you enjoying them as much as you did the first time you read them?
I love rereading... sadly I don't do it enough, because I have tons of books needing to be reviewed. This challenge has inspired me to pick up a few fave reads once in a while and revisit them. Especially when I'm needing a break from reading review books.
My first reread (and probably my only this weekend) is Charlotte's Web and so far I don't remember certain things from this book at all. It's weird knowing the book, but not remembering so many things about it. I'll at least finish this with a new look at it too. :)
Sunday Question: Overall, how was your experience rereading? Do you feel like it's something you want to do more or do you feel like you'd rather read new books?

I wish I had more time for rereading a few more books. I enjoyed reading a book from my childhood and will definitely try to squeeze a few rereads in during the coming year. :)
OUTCOME:
-Completed Charlotte's Web by EB White (review to follow sometime this week)
--------------------I will keep updating this page throughout the weekend - answering the questions as they appear over at The Perpetual Page-Turner's Site and as I finish reading each book.
Ditto that I don't have nearly enough time to reread books I really love, but I do try to make time for my annual rereading of Catcher in the Rye. It's my all-time favorite book. And every time I read it, I take away something different and impacting that makes me fall in love with it all over again.
