The Netgalley Book Tag

NetGalley is both my friend and nemesis! I love me a good browse of new releases on NetGalley, but I haven't been on there are often as I have in the past as I have a backlog I'm trying to clear. I think one of my 2020 goals will be to clear my NetGalley list, so this seems like a great tag to do near the end of the year in order to prepare me for 2020.
THE RULES:
  • Link back to the tag’s creator Kourtni @Kourtni Reads.
  • Thank and link back to the person who tagged you. Not tagged, but this is where I found the tag: The Bibliophile Girl
  • Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!

1. Auto-Approved: Who's one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they're about?

I have a few: Rainbow Rowell, Jennifer Niven, and Courtney Summers.

2. Request: What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?

The cover, the title, the author - totally depends. All of those things catch my eye, then I read the synopsis and decided if I want to read it.

3. Feedback Ratio: Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

I try to review any books I've requested for review, but I don't review every book I read. If I requested it, I make my best effort to provide a review. If it's my own book or a library book, I review if I enjoyed the book or have something to say about it.

4. Badges: If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

I post the NetGalley badges on my blog already, but if I were to create a new badge it would probably be one to represent people like me who request too many ARCs and never seem to catch up on reading/reviewing. So I'd call it the Neverending Pile badge!

5. Wish For It: What's one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

Hold On, But Don't Hold Still by Kristina Kuzmic

6. 2019 NetGalley Challenge: What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you've never received an ARC, what's the last book you reviewed?

Foul Is Fair by Hannah Capin - just finished reading it, but my review doesn't go live on my blog until February for a blog tour.
