The Guilty Reader Book Tag

I stumbled upon this tag via Kelly's Rambles - I am not sure who the original owner of the tag is however. Also, I tag anyone who wants to play along with this tag.

1. Have you ever re-gifted a book that you've been gifted?

Yes. I do this often, but only with books that I've never read. And only if I know the person I'm giving it to will want to read the book. No random re-gifting here.

2. Have you ever said you've read a book when you haven't?

No. That makes no sense to me to say you've read something that you haven't. How can you have an actual opinion on it, if you don't really know the contents?

3. Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

Not on purpose. Actually, I have loaned out many books, only to have them never reaturned. That reminds me... I need to see if my sister-in-law is done with my copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

4. Have you ever read a series out of order?

Yes. The one that I am always reading out of order is the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs. I feel like many you can read as standalones, but they do have a background story that carries over. Generally you can pick up the info needed during the novel, but I'm sure reading them in order would be a heck of a lot easier.

5. Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Just the other day I was telling a coworker about a book and I got so carried away that I gave out two spoilers. Oops!

6. Have you ever doggy eared a book?

I never used to, but now I do if it's one of my own books. I don't always have a bookmark handy and I generally like to use post it flags to mark quotes and such, but sometimes I don't have them handy.

7. Have you ever told someone you don't own a book when you do?

No. That's just silly.

8. Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

Yes. Especially in historical romances where the descriptions are so over the top detailed. I can get overwhelmed with that from time to time.

9. Have you ever badmouthed a book you actually liked?

Why would someone do that? If I like a book there wouldn't be a reason to badmouth it.

Let me know in the comments if you decided to do this tag so I can pop over to see your answers. Or if you have any other Guilty Reader questions ask me in the comments!

  1. Alot of these questions are solved since I read exclusively on my Kobo. No bent pages, no lending books, no re-gifting books. I enjoyed this post. Have a great week!

    1. That would solve a lot of problems. I have been reading on my Kindle App on my tablet a lot lately and listening to audiobooks on my phone using Overdrive. Maybe I'm heading in the best direction. ;)

      Have a great week!
