I had hoped it would be a while before I fell into another reading slump, but it's here. I haven't been posting many book reviews in the last few weeks and it's all because I just can't write them yet. I loved many of the books I've read, yet I just can't get into the writing mode. And I just can't seem to finish a book lately. I am enjoying them, but am slow moving through them.
I have a few review tours coming up so those posts will for sure be ready in time, but I just don't feel like writing much lately. Perhaps it's because I have so much to do in my personal life right now with the nice weather finally arriving, or that I had a few whirlwind weekends of family visits or perhaps it's because I've just been feeling so worn out.
Hopefully I will be back on the reviewing band wagon soon and reading like a mad woman, but until then I hope you don't mind memes and cover reveals.
Cheers to spring finally arriving and perhaps nice enough weather to read outside?
Boo to slumps! I feel like I'm just beginning to get out of my writing slump, and it's only because I'm forcing it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are out of yours. I'm hoping mine won't last too long.
DeleteI just signed up for evernote to organize my blog posts better and mapped out the rest of the year. Looking at all the blank spots for reviews on the calendar, makes me want to hide under my bed, lol. I'm sort of a book reviewer flop :p Ah well, we blog for fun and we can do it however we darn want to, right? I was planning on doing 3 reviews a week starting in May, but I may adjust that to 1 or 2 a week (ok, 1 lol ) :)
ReplyDeleteTrue. It's not like I'm paid for my blog so I should't worry so much. LOL
DeleteGood ideas. I'm trying audiobooks right now, but have to try mini reviews or kids books if that doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat! Between work and home stuff I've just been muddling through books and not had the energy or the creative juices to write a review these days... I need to figure out a way to get over that slump too.. **hugs**
ReplyDeleteMaybe when things get settled down at work you'll have more time. ;) I'm listening to audiobooks to help.
