HARRY POTTER AND CHOCOLATE FROGS!

At the start of March, my husband and I went to Florida for a week long vacation and the only thing I wanted to do was see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal.

It was magical to walk up the pathway leading to Hogsmeade - seeing Hogwarts looming above the blossoming trees.

I wish I had taken more photos, but I was in awe of checking everything out.

So I'm just going to share a few of the best that I took.

The one little story that I wanted to share with you all is when we were in line for Oliviander's Wand Shop. There was a young boy in line saying things like, "Mom, remember in the book when .... happened? LOOK!" He was so darn excited. Once inside the wizard chooses a young person to find a wand and they picked the boy I was admiring. He was completely taken in by the magic of the shop and the wizard. And don't forget, the wand chooses the wizard. He went through a whole process of trying different wands until the right wand found him. He was smiling from ear to ear and his Mom whispered to the wizard as she passed by, "Thanks for making his day. It's his birthday trip and this was amazing."

How great is that?

I met the conductor of the Hogwarts Express right at platform 9 3/4s too!

The line for Butterbeer was insanely long, so I didn't grab any. But I'm okay with that because I grabbed a chocolate frog instead!

And the ride that is in the castle was a lot of fun, but I enjoyed the trek through Hogwarts more! You follow Harry, Ron and Hermione on a secret escape into Hogsmeade. At one point Hermione makes it snow and I was enjoying the feel of the cold flakes on my sunburned skin.

Overall, I had an excellent time. Might have wanted to spend more time taking pictures and taking it all in again.

Have you been? What was your favourite part? Did you buy any cool souvenirs - like a wand or a broom?
