This week Jamie Baywood, author of Getting Rooted in New
Zealand, is here with her Deserted Island experience!
What five books would you want with you, and why?
- May I Ask You Something? by Cyan Corwine. It would make me smile and fill me with hope.
- The Buddha, Geoff and Me by Edward Canfor-Dumas. I missed the characters from the book when I finished reading it.
- Area Code 212 by Tama Janowitz. Her writing makes me laugh out loud.
- A Mighty Heart by Mariane Pearl. I hear the memoir is amazing, terrifying and unforgettable.
- Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson. I haven’t read it yet, but it looks funny. It would be good to have a bit of fun and a surprise.
What five
items would you want, and why?
- Sunscreen – I am very, very pale.
- Razor – I’m vain and don’t like body hair.
- An unlimited supply of Chipotle Tabasco sauce. I’m addicted to that stuff. It will make whatever I’m catching for food taste better.
- Something to start fire with.
- Something to hunt or fish with.
