This book is a really quick read - the plot moves swiftly and keeps you entertained. I had seen this cover around on some fellow book blogs, but really didn't know much about it. It's very unique in that I haven't seen any books around dealing with kids and superpowers.
I love the group dynamic in this storyline - the random group of teens that become friends on the first day. How they all seem to be from different cliques, but somehow fall into becoming friends and sticking together regardless that they are all so different. They all have strengths that naturally compliment each other.
Clio reminds me so much of myself back in high school. I was quiet and unsure of everything. I was acquaintances with many and close friends with very few. I didn't know where I fit in and I could see all of that in Clio. During their time at the Army school Clio begins to gain confidence and starts to stand out among her peers becoming the leader of their little troupe.

Clio and her band of rebels are an enjoyment to follow through their escapades on campus. From falling in love, making great new friends with surprising people to learning what their abilities are and taking out some bad guys, what more could you ask for in a group of 17 year olds?
I definately cannot wait to check out the next book in the series - Settling.
