I snapped this pic at a local pharmacy - the bright colours caught my eye and then I was really intruiged when I realized that they were classics remade with updated covers to catch a new generation of readers. Funny thing? I have only read Dracula our the four books shown here. Maybe I will have to pick up some of the others to read sometime. They are kind of cute and fun. What do you think of the colourful covers?
Neat! I saw something similar at Shoppers here. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteYa they are from Shoppers. I love them. I think I might have to break down and buy a few. :) I am getting quite the book collection... now if only I can get to reading them all in the near future. LOL
ReplyDeleteThose are kind of cute! Definitely not old and stodgy-looking. Some classics don't really make you want to pick them up at all (but that's not the case here).
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough, Dracula is the only one I haven't read. (Well, I'm only halfway through Pride and Prejudice... but I've read the other two!) You should definitely read Jane Eyre. It's a great story.
I agree with the whole old looking books, I love fun and pretty covers - so these appeal to me more.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of the classics on my TBR list.
Cute! They kind of remind me of the Pretty LIttle Liars covers. I haven't read any of them though.... I think I might be allergic to classics.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great when they re-do book covers to capture a new/different audience!
ReplyDelete@Katie - that is too funny. I haven't really read many classics either, but there are a few I am insterested in trying.
ReplyDelete@Book Vixen - I actually saw another set of the same classics in another style type set that would draw a different audtience... wish I had my cell phone with my to take a picture for comparison.
ReplyDeletelove those! great find! makes those look more hip.
