Hmmm looks like I used to read a lot more adult fiction than YA back then. It's something that I'm working on getting back into. I need the mix again... I miss it.
I read The Next Thing on My List a few summer's ago and, have to say, I didn't love it. It was cute but kind of forgettable. I'm glad someone enjoyed it! This is a good list! I pretty much only had YA on my list because I was that age when I read them but I definitely don't read much any more - and that's something I'm trying to change! I think I'm missing out on some great books by not trying YA.
ReplyDeleteI think I enjoyed it more because I love making lists and it just got to me what the main character decided to do. I read a lot of YA for the last 8 years, but I try to mix it up with different genres. I love an eclectic mix, but kept getting pulled in YA more and more. I'm broadening my horizons again this year. :)
DeleteI'm a huge fan of A Thousand Splendid Suns too - it's the only book I've read from you list :-)

I found it interesting to look at everyone's list and see books I've read, meant to read or even disliked. What a variety to see.
DeleteWow, so many great books. I have had Gargoyle on my list forever. I loved Lovely Bones also.
ReplyDeleteGargoyle was a very interesting book.
