Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday

Book Blogger Hop

“How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?”

I definately have over 100 books in my TBR pile... it fills my new bookcase, my shelves above my desk, tons laying on my desk, some on my nightstand and can't forget on my laptop and ereader. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed so I cannot imagine having the pile that Crazy for Books has. ;)

Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

Hmmm... I don't have one genre that I love more than others, but I would say my top two right now are dystopian and historical romance... though I read so many genres I just go with what I feel like reading - what my mood defines. For dystopian, I would say that The Giver  by Lois Lowry that started my love for the genre. And for historical romance it would be The Kadin by Bertrice Small.

  1. Hopping over from the Hop.

    I have so few books. But I buy as a read...sort of? lol. Sometimes I get carried away but for the most part, I have a cap. I can't have more then so many books to read at one time. BUT I have a massive list on Amazon of books I plan on buying haha.

    My hop is here:

  2. Do you work your way through them sequentially by acquisition date? I have things that sit on my TBR pile until I pick up enough of the series to make it worth my while, while others are stand-alone.

  3. I totally agree about not being able to pick a favorite genre. I pretty much said the same thing. :) Happy Friday!

  9. Hopping by! :)

    I, too, have the problem of the leaning towers of books. *g* But I think it would be worse if I didn't have any lying around. ;)

  11. @The Book Angel - I wish I were able to resist buying so many at once. It would probably make things a lot easier for storage too. LOL

    @Jon - It really depends on if it's a review book or not. I try to read all my review books as soon as I can, but that doesn't always happen. And as for the books I buy because I want them... I read then dependant upon my mood.

    @Amy - aww thanks. :)

    @Lah - I love making new BFFs... especially ones with great taste in books. ;)

    @Judith - I heart paranormal romance too. See way too many genres that I love. :)
