Find Online: Book Depository | Goodreads | AmazonMy name is Meghan Chase.I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
I don't think I have ever called a series EPIC before, but The Iron Fey Series is just that. You can't go wrong with them. The characters are absolutely amazing and the plot will make you not want to put this book down until you finish it. I laughed, I cried - what more can you ask for in a book? You have friendship, romance, loyalty, bravery, loss and sacrifice. It completely reminds me of a cross between Alice in Wonderland and The Lord of the Rings.
Meghan steps up to the plate in this book and shows how brave she has become and that she can be a great leader if given the chance. I loved how she wasn't afraid to admit if she was afraid or not ready, but she still stuck with it through thick and thin. That to me showed wonderful growth in her character. Puck is Puck with a twist - best friend hoping to be more, yet entertaining as ever. Grim is by far one of my favourite characters with his trademark, "I am a cat" explanation for everything. He makes me smile when he appears on scene. Razor, the little gremlin, is by far the cutest of the Iron Fey and I want one of my very own to call me Master. And lastly, Ash, my knight in shining armour - I adore him - one scene made me cry especially hard with the beautiful words that he says to Meghan - I would love to quote them, but it is so spoilerish.
I love where the story of the Iron Fey leads and how it has such a thunderous battle scene. Just when you think they are about to have the battle of a life time something changes in the plans and the battle is still looming over them. This added so much tension in the book and made me read faster and faster to see what would happen next. You meet so many great new characters like Glitch and Razor. In the end I cannot spoil what happens, but I am content with how the book ends and leaves it ready for The Iron Knight, which I am desperate to read now. *sigh*

About the Author:
Julie Kagawa, the New York Times bestselling author of the Iron Fey
and Blood of Eden series was born in Sacramento, California. Her love of reading led her to
pen some very dark and gruesome stories, complete with colored
illustrations, to shock her hapless teachers. The gory tales faded with
time (okay, at least the illustrations did), but the passion for writing
remained, long after she graduated and was supposed to get a
real job.
To pay the rent, Julie worked in different bookstores over the years,
but discovered the managers frowned upon her reading the books she was
supposed to be shelving.
Julie now lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where the frequency of shark
attacks are at an all time low. She lives with her husband, an
obnoxious cat, an Australian Shepherd who is too smart for his own good,
and a hyper-active Papillion. -source
