BUY NOW: AmazonGreat books, bloggers, and recipes meet in this fresh and unique cookbook that helps you experience books, not just read them.
Books were selected from the author’s book review blog and paired with delectable recipes like “Fairy Touched Calico Brownies” from the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, “7-Day Layer Dip” from Lauren Oliver’s Before I Fall, and “I Hate Chocolate Cake” from Amanda Hocking’s Switched. Mouthwatering photos complement every recipe.
The 2011 Book Blogger’s Cookbook includes a foreword by Amanda Hocking, author of the USA Today Bestselling Trylle Trilogy and showcases over seventy reviews with links to book review blogs and author websites.
Whether you're a food lover, an avid reader or a book blogger, there’s something for you in The 2011 Book Blogger’s Cookbook.
As a fellow book blogger and lover of cookbook's this was the perfect match for me. How could you not like a book that gives you the most amazing recipes (and most are really easy to make - I've tried a few already) and then matches them up with some amazing books? It's like the biggest WIN/WIN situation for a book lover. There's nothing better than sitting down to read a book with a snack and there are some amazing choices in this cookbook - Fairy Touched Calico Brownies (this was the recipe that was sitting alongside the reviews for Fablehaven)? Oh and I love how each book and recipe is accompanied by a little blurb that explains how the book and recipe were matched up. Ingenious!
Also, with reading this book I stumbled upon a few of my favourite book bloggers, as well as a handful more that I am now happy to follow! What are you waiting for? Go nab a copy for your ereader now - or if you don't have an ereader Amazon has a free Kindle PC application that you can use to read this on your computer. It's well worth it - you won't be disappointed. I actually hope this book makes it into print so that I can buy a copy to have in my cookbook collection! *crossing fingers*
And..... as an added bonus - I asked Christy if we could host a giveaway for a copy of the ebook and she said YES! Contest will run until July 31st - winner will be randomly drawn on August 1st.
All you have to do to enter the giveaway is: Leave a comment below with the name of a recipe that you think would work sound great to eat while reading whatever book you happen to be reading right now (please leave the name of the recipe and the name of the book). Winner will be drawn at random. Don't forget to leave a way to contact you (email or twitter).
Thanks Chrystal! Happy Blogoversary to you! As an added bonus, today is the last day to enter to win a Kindle as part of the blog tour. Anyone who comments on this post is automatically entered!
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds so cool! I love cooking/baking, and pairing that up with books is so fun.
ReplyDeleteI just read 'When the Stars Go Blue' ... the Miami and fiery dancing connection would make a great pair with either some kind of fajita recipe, or maybe a frozen beverage, something with a kick to it.
Thanks for the giveaway =)
